Fifa 20

I've always been a massive fan of football. So when I found out about Fifa 5 years back, I was mesmerised. There's a copy of each Fifa from 16 to 20 on my Xbox and I've been watching people like the Sidemen play the game from even earlier on. I've had this game since release and when I tell you that I played it tirelessly until March, I'm not lying. I've been able to rack up 8 days and 14 hours. Now I'm sure that almost 100% of that is on Ultimate Team, a completely pay-to-win system, without talking about the broken, RNG gameplay. There is honestly only one reason that I should play this game; there isn't a viable competitor. PES has come close but doesn't have the quality to break through and rise above the football franchise. But somehow, EA are still able to create hype for an annual release where not much actually changes. Being completely honest, the franchise has been declining in quality since 2016, with Fifa 20 claiming the title of worst Fifa game in history. I'm convinced that VOLTA has been the only big change in a Fifa game for a few years now, and VOLTA is just a reiteration of Fifa Street, a game made well over 10 years ago. But it just isn't fun. Instead it's boring and just feels like a smaller version of normal Fifa. Ultimate Team, the main feature of Fifa, is a broken system. You can only win through constant grinding or spending all your money on Fifa Points and getting lucky in a pack. This only adds onto the frustrating and unresponsive gameplay, its almost like the ball has a mind of its own. There have been many theories about games being fixed, it may sound ridiculous because its a video game, but after playing at least 10 games, you will definitely be able to see that luck can easily outweigh skill in this game.
